The Carnegie Middle East Center is seeking an Assistant Editor for its Arabic publications. Responsibilities will include editing and proofreading translations; occasionally translating texts; monitoring design and printing of final papers. Candidates should hold an M.A. in Translation; deep knowledge of international affairs and Middle Eastern politics; work experience in translation is a plus; native or near-native Arabic and excellent English; computer literacy (Word, Excel, Internet). Candidate should also be very organized and detail oriented.

The Carnegie Moscow Center's new Global Policy Fellowships are designed to bring senior American experts from a wide range of fields important to the future of the U.S.-Russian policy agenda to spend time in Moscow.
The Carnegie Moscow Global Policy Fellowships program seeks individuals with significant experience working on issues of major policy concern but who are not "Russia hands." Fellows may be policymakers, whether in or out of government; policy experts; legislative staff, scientists and technologists; lawyers; businessmen and others. Any field of global policy relevance is eligible
While there is no specific tenure requirement, applicants should be able to demonstrate a strong track-record in their fields and an ability to influence the relevant policy discussions upon their return from Moscow. Knowledge of Russian or prior experience in Russia is not required. Fellows will be expected to remain employed at their U.S. organizations throughout their term in Moscow.

Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, a leading think tank specializing in international affairs, is seeking an Associate and Director for its South Asia program. Candidates must possess a Ph.D. or be close to completing a Ph.D. in one of the following areas of South Asian studies: international relations, defense and security, domestic politics, or political economy. Candidate’s principal responsibility will consist of managing the South Asia program while also pursuing independent research on policy relevant issues of contemporary importance.
Managing the South Asia program will include developing and managing the program’s public activities to include programming speakers, public briefings, meetings and conferences; developing outreach initiatives and securing external funding to include writing project proposals for foundations and government sponsors; engaging other institutions in the U.S. and South Asia and collaborating with key US and South Asia specialists on subjects of policy interest; and augmenting the database of international experts and media concerned with South Asia.

Carnegie Europe, the pan-European foreign policy forum of the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, a leading think tank specializing in international affairs, seeks a specialist in European energy policy or European climate policy. Particular attention will be given to candidates with sector experience and the capacity to connect different aspects of the subject, such as energy policy and economics.
The senior associate will be based in our fast-developing European centre in Brussels, and work closely with Carnegie’s Energy and Climate programme and its senior associates based in Washington D.C and Beijing. The position will deepen Carnegie’s innovative, policy relevant work on this topic; bringing distinctive European perspectives and analyses to it while enhancing collaboration between Carnegie’s regional centres in Moscow, Beirut and Beijing.
Preferred candidates will have a sophisticated, in-depth knowledge of climate or energy policy, a distinguished record of professional accomplishment including significant publications and/or substantial policy experience as well as concrete contributions in the energy/climate sectors. Candidates will be expected to have experience initiating and facilitating policy relevant meetings and process.

The Carnegie Middle East Center is seeking to hire two senior resident scholars expert in the politics, economics, or security of the Middle East. The scholars will be based in Beirut and report to the Center’s Director.
The Carnegie Middle East Center, established in 2006, seeks to be a leading source of non-partisan, timely, innovative policy analysis and outreach on the main challenges relating to the political and economic development of the Middle East. The Center is an integral part of the growing global network of regional centers of the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, headquartered in Washington, D.C. with additional offices in Moscow, Beijing, and Brussels.
Leading candidates will have a substantial record of distinguished policy-relevant research and writing; proven ability to communicate effectively with policy communities in both the Middle East as well as the United States and Europe; at least seven years of post-educational work experience; a Ph.D., J.D., or equivalent; and knowledge of Arabic.
