In recent days the U.S. administration has made clear that while the United States hopes Tehran will respond to Washington’s outstretched hand, the U.S. offer of engagement is not open-ended. Carnegie hosted leading experts Roger Cohen of The New York Times, Ali Ansari, director of the Iranian Institute at the University of St. Andrews, and George Perkovich and Karim Sadjadpour to discuss the future of U.S. policy given the continued unrest in the country.
