History of the Atomic Age is
a multimedia presentation using slides, video and audio that covers
the past sixty years in 15 minutes. Carnegie Director for Nonproliferation
Joseph Cirincione wrote and narrated the review, which opened the
conference. The segment is ideal for college and high school classes. A Conversation With Mohamed ElBaradei is a unique
sit-down with the winner of the 2005 Nobel Peace Prize. In a relaxed
and engaging conversation, the director general of the International
Atomic Energy Agency describes his struggle to reduce nuclear dangers. In a Conversation
with Historians of the Nuclear Age Carla Anne Robbins, chief
diplomatic correspondent for the Wall Street Journal, skillfully
questions three of today's most accomplished nuclear historians.
Richard Rhodes (The Making of the Atomic Bomb), Robert Norris
(Racing for the Bomb), and Jonathan Schell (The Fate
of the Earth) recount stories of the most defining moments of
the nuclear age.
